Many Vintage Aircraft Association programs center around activities during the annual AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis. These include educational forums and classes on the techniques used in aircraft restoration, including the skills needed to rebuild a vintage airplane.
VAA held its first flying safety seminar during AirVenture in 2001, and officials will expand the program through the years.
In addition, a VAA representative sits on the FAA’s Aviation Rules Making Committee, which makes recommendations for revisions to the nation’s current rules governing civil aviation.
